Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology (MBCET) was established in the year 2002 by the Malankara Catholic Church and is administered by the Malankara Catholic Educational Society of the Major Arch Diocese of Thiruvananthapuram. Situated amidst 17 educational institutions in the Mar Ivanios Vidyanagar, just 5 km from the heart of the city, MBCET stands tall as a pride to one and all. Mar Baselios College of Engineering & Technology strives for excellence in higher education, research and support services, by employing an integral approach to education, with the purpose of forming technically competent engineers, responsible citizens and epitomes of fundamental human values like commitment, compassion and optimism, who ought to be actively involved in creative nation building and enhancement of human existence.
Electronics and Communication Department
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering focuses on imparting a solid foundation, both theoretical and hands on work experience, across the vast spectrum of technologies in Electronics as well as Communication Engineering. The department has a team of well qualified and competent faculty who are active in research and research guidance with a number of publications to their credit. To encourage research and development, the Mar Baselios College of Engineering & Technology annually organizes Conferences and Seminars. We are organizing a Tech Fest on 18th of March 2017.
